Not easy to send Canada to FATF list
India has presented several times solid and credible evidence regarding the funding of Khalistani terrorists but so far no action has been taken by Canada. India therefore plans to share "a dossier of old and new evidence" with FATF, the Paris-based watchdog that monitors the implementation of legal, regulatory and operational measures to combat money laundering and terrorist financing. Although it will not be so easy to send Canada to the FATF gray list, but if India takes this step, it will be a big action against Canada and the FATF committee will be forced to start an investigation against Canada. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has already made it clear that Canada has given shelter to Indian separatists and terrorists and that Canada has become a safe country for terrorists. Canada–India relations remain strained, with mutual recriminations and diplomatic exclusion.
According to Indian diplomatic officials, the Trudeau government is trying to divert the attention of the global community from the main issue of terrorist activities by raising tensions and accusing India of violating the Vienna Convention on Canada's diplomatic presence.Indeed, India immediately rejected Canada's allegations, making its position emphatically clear. Also, the Indian government has decided to ensure that the world's attention is not diverted from the main issue of terrorist funding on Canadian soil, so India has surrounded Canada.
